2026 Duotone Wing Launch/Test

The new Duotone 2026 wings are being launched 4 September 2025 with a new DLAB, SLS and standard Unit model all becoming available.

There have been some upgrades for 2026 and I would say there is a significant improvement in handling.

For 2026 there is the Fusion boom or Fusion Handles again options on the centre strut – we are now selling 95% of wings with the Fusion boom.

For 2026 the placement of the boom/handles has been moved forward by a couple of inches.  The wing has been reshaped – it has a smoother outline, less V in the  leading edge.  The wing’s canopy is flatter for a good third of the wing shape from the leading edge. The front handle is stiffer (more like the Float) and if you look at the canopy it has more panels in the leading edge.

Between the 3 models the leading edge is reduced by 5% on the SLS from the standard Unit and then the DLAB has a reduction of 10% from the standard model.

After using the 2026 Duotone Unit SLS what I found handling wise over the 2025 model is it sort of looks different, but you are trying to figure out why?

There is a little more fullness in the wingtips but there is a definite reduction in the LE panel and it really feels quicker through the turns and tacks the fact that the front part of the boom forward gives you far more control of the wing when you want to “flag it” and gives you more options in moving your front hand position which in turn reduces front hand pressure.

I found that the wing pumps slightly differently, a little further downwind but as soon as you are in take off it felt pretty amazing.

It feels like the leach of the wing is under more tension and the extra panels and batten felt really good.

As you can see the wings come in either Green or Orange in the standard Unit; the Concept Blue (white) or Brown in the SLS and the DLAB is a one colour of Blue and ALULAA yellow.

When I tested the wing the wind was about 12-13 knots and I was using a 4m wing – by the time I finished it was closer to 20knots – it seemed to have a really bit wind range, really surprised at the beginning of the session how well the wing worked in gusty, marginal winds.
