Duotone 2027 Wings // Foilboards // Foils Launch

Duotone have launched the new 2027 Units in D/LAb ,SLS and standard models.  There has been some decent upgrade’s for 2027 -new panel layout, bigger repositioned windows, stiffer centre strut and leading edge and the new canopy has been designed with a tighter leach and a better twist when overpowered and an extra batton.

The biggest change is a reduced boom length which has improved overall handling, flagging and makes transitions smoother.

Josh Barratt has been out testing the new Duotone SLS here at 2XS West Wittering and he gave the new 2027 wing a solid test – Simon has been also using the new wings.

Simon Bassett commented “Each season you can feel the wings getting stiffer, having a bigger wind range, with improved handling and so much smo ther through transitions”

You can buy the Duotone Unit in three versions – we use the standard Unit in the school and this is a solid wing – lightweight and performs well in both waves and flatwater – the Fusion boom is the most popular option with all the Duotone wings we sell.

The 2027 Duotone Unit SLS  has a modified centre strut and a lighter stiffer PentaTX fabric on the struts with an Aluula centre section.  This gives the SLS Unit more grunt and extra power and is a super popular wing.

The D/Lab is the most expensive and has a centre strut and reduced diameter leading in Aluula.  Stiff, very fast, big wind range and the leading edge and centre strut does not absorb any water.

We also have coming in the new Duotone Skybrid SLS which has undergone – a new shape and refined hull design similar to last seasons but with some improved early planing, touch down and stability features.  We also have coming in the new Duotone Trace SLS wave designed board and additions to the foil line up – new higher aspect Glide 3.o foils
